The 15 Freeway North is the Road to Las Vegas
I just recently took the website down with the image of the 15 Freeway (Interstate 15) and put it up for sale along with dozens of my other aged domain names including one about this famous highway, US Route 66. Since I haven’t done anything with it in the past few years it’s probably best to sell it than leave it up and subject to the ridiculous amount of spam all websites are subject to.
Above is an image of the 15 Freeway as you come out of the mountains in California and descend down the long stretch going to Nevada. It’s an easy drive from almost anywhere in Southern California. Some people here make the trip to Vegas many times like I have since it is relatively close.
I’ve driven this road quite a few times over the years. I used to like driving, still do, but the traffic in Southern California has gotten much worse over the years so it is not much fun anymore. In fact every weekend, almost without fail this road to Las Vegas is no exception. It is filled with travelers, mostly from Southern California making that trip to the casinos there.
From my house it is about a 4 – 5 hour drive, or less if you want to risk getting a speeding ticket, and yes I have made it in less than 4 hours myself. Once I get on the 15 Freeway it is non stop all the way to the casinos in Nevada, including Las Vegas, until you get off the freeway. The freeway is about a half dozen miles from my house, almost a single winding road right to the freeway entrance.
If you’ve never been to Las Vegas, Nevada you need to go, at least once for the experience. You’ll surely like it, even if you don’t gamble. Read this article I wrote about it here.
